Men's Basketball: Schwarz Nets Second Weekly
Award For Historic Week
Lakeland's Jake Schwarz has been named the Northern Athletics
Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for games
of November 28-December 4, his second-straight honor.
Schwarz (Sheboygan, Wis.) led the Muskies (3-1, 2- NAC) to a
pair of conference wins last week, averaging 29.0 points on 73
percent (22-of-33) shooting and 7.0 rebounds in the
victories.
On Thursday against Maranatha, Schwarz became the 38th member
of the Lakeland 1,000-point club, scoring 36 points and grabbing 11
rebounds in the 110-79 victory.
This past Saturday against Dominican, the junior forward
scored 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field in the 77-58
triumph.

Game-Winner Secure Weekly Award
Dominican's Kayla Blom has been named the Northern Athletics
Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for games
of November 28-December 4.
Blom (Circle Pines, Minn.) set a new career-high of 31 points
and tied the Dominican school record with seven 3-pointers
(7-for-15) in the Stars' 84-69 double-overtime win over crosstown
rival Concordia Chicago on Wednesday. The point guard also pulled
down eight rebounds in the contest.
On Saturday versus Lakeland, Blom scored 13 points in just 20
minutes of action and logged a 62.5 shooting percentage from the
floor -- 3-of-4 from 3-point range -- which included the
game-winning 3 with just 0.1 seconds left on the clock for the
71-68 final.
Blom's 10 3-pointers on the week came on just 19 attempts,
giving her a 52.6 percent accuracy from beyond the arc for the
Stars (4-3, 2-1 NAC).

Field: Cougars Collect First Track & Field Weekly Awards
Of Season
Concordia Chicago's Danyale Worsham and Joshua Schultz have
been named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's & Men's
Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for events of
November 28-December 4.
Worsham (Downers Grove, Ill.) achieved personal bests in two
events at the Illinois State Early Bird Invite on Saturday. The
sophomore sprinter ran an 8.30 in the 60-meter dash, dropping .23
from last year's best where she finished 13th out of 40 in a
largely Division I field of runners. Worsham also ran a 27.88 in
the 200-meter dash, down .25 from her previous best and finished
12th of 34, again, versus many DI athletes.
Schultz (Brookfield, Wis.) competed in his first collegiate
meet at the Illinois State Early Bird Invite on Saturday. The
rookie finished seventh in the high jump with leap of 6-2, and of
the six ahead of him, two were Division I athletes and four were
unattached. Additionally Schultz finished the 60-meter hurdles with
time of 9.32, good for 13th.
