ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The 2011 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Volleyball Playoffs continue Thursday evening with two semifinal matches on the schedule, and a trip to Saturday's championship match on the line.

The top two seeds and regular season co-champs - No. 1 Concordia (23-3) and No. 2 St. Thomas (28-3) - both enjoyed a first-round bye and will host Thursday night's semifinal matches in Moorhead and St. Paul, respectively. No. 3 Bethel (22-8) was a 3-1 winner over No. 6 Augsburg Tuesday and will take on the Tommies, while No. 4 St. Benedict (18-11) - a 3-1 winner over No. 5 Gustavus Tuesday - travels to Moorhead to face the Cobbers.

Ironically, Thursday's semifinal matchups are exact rematches of the wild final day of the regular season. Heading into Saturday's season finale', Concordia and St. Thomas were tied for first in the MIAC, with Bethel and Saint Benedict tied for second just a game back, so there was a chance for a four-way tie for first. However, both the Cobbers and Tommies took care of business - Concordia beat the Blazers 3-2 and St. Thomas beat the Royals 3-1 - to share the title and claim the top two spots in the playoffs, while the other two settled for a third-place tie and the right to host the quarterfinal matches.

Both of Thursday's semifinal matches will have live video broadcasts available online, and Concordia will also have live stats. Links for both are below in the Playoff schedule. The two winners will advance to Saturday's championship match, which will be hosted by the highest remaining seed at 7 p.m. The Playoff champion will receive the MIAC's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division III Volleyball Playoffs.
