NAC Women's Cross Country All-Conference Announced

Salena Sykes, of the University of Maine at Farmington, ran to a first place finish in 22:21.0 at the recent North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Cross Country Championship, earning Runner of the Year Honors.

Colby-Sawyer first-year runner Caila Walker finished second with a time of 22:34.5 to earn Rookie of the Year honors as the top finishing rookie.

In a vote of the conference coaches, Husson head coach Jim Karcanes was honored as conference Coach of the Year for the second-straight season after leading the Eagles to the conference crown.

Husson was also awarded the Team Sportsmanship Award in a vote of the conference coaches.

The top seven finishers, plus the medalist at the NAC Championship are honored as All-Conference First Team runners, while the next seven runners are honored as All-Conference Second Team runners.
