NAC Women's Volleyball Championship Seeding Announced
Colby-Sawyer College finished the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Volleyball season a perfect 7-0 in league play, and has earned the top seed in the upcoming NAC Championship. The Chargers (16-14 overall, 7-0 NAC) have earned a bye through the first round, and will host the semifinal and final rounds on Friday and Saturday November 4 and 5.
Four-time defending conference champion Maine Maritime Academy (20-4 overall, 6-1 NAC) finished second in the league standings and have also earned a bye to the semifinal round.
The University of Maine at Farmington (13-9 overall, 5-2 NAC) has earned the third seed in the tournament and will host sixth-seeded Green Mountain (5-15 overall, 2-5 NAC) on Saturday in a first-round match-up.
Fourth-seeded Husson (16-11 overall, 4-3 NAC) will host the other first-round match versus fifth-seeded Lyndon (6-14 overall, 3-4).
First round games will be played on Saturday, October 29 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at Colby-Sawyer on Friday, November 4. Semifinal game times for Friday are 6:00 pm and 8:00 p.m. with the championship on Saturday, November 5 at 12:00 p.m.
The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
