PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rachel Preusser,
Castleton
(So, F - Craryville, N.Y.)
Preusser continued her stellar sophomore campaign last week as she
led the Spartans to a pair of conference victories. With second
place on the line, Preusser scored Castleton's first goal and
assisted on its final one as the team down Maine-Farmington 4-2.
Against Thomas she was even more clutch, tying the game at two with
just under ten minutes remaining. Preusser came through once again
in overtime, scoring 2:03 into the extra session for the 3-2
victory. She finished the week with three goals and two assists and
currently ranks second in the NAC in both goals (16) and points
(37).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kristy Pinkham,
Castleton
(Fr, M - Brandon, Vt.)
Pinkham was instrumental in helping the Spartans to a pair of NAC
victories during the week. Against Maine-Farmington, the first-year
put Castleton up 2-0 20 minutes into the contest. Her second goal
of the game capped off the Spartans 4-2 victory to help them
improve to 5-0 in the NAC. She also added three shots in a 3-2
overtime win over Thomas.
