Salisbury received the one remaining bye in the Division III women's lacrosse NCAA Tournament field. The Sea Gulls await the winner of St. John Fisher and Fredonia State.

Cortland State (17-1) won the SUNYAC for the 14th consecutive season and will host Castleton State in the first round. It's the first-ever bid to the tournament for the Spartans, who won the North Atlantic Conference automatic bid.

Redlands and Occidental each qualified as Pool B seections, and not surprisingly to veteran D-III watchers, will play each other in the first round. The re-winner of the SCIAC will travel to Salisbury and face either Catholic or Christopher Newport.

Defending champion Gettysburg (17-1) is on the same side of the bracket as Salisbury (19-0), and opens the tournament by hosting Cabrini (10-8).
