NAC Women's Cross Country All Conference Announced

Husson University's Alecia Palmer ran to a first place finish in 19:32 at the recent North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Cross Country Championship, earning Runner of the Year Honors. An all-conference first team member a season ago, Palmer put the finishing touches on a stellar sophomore campaign that saw her earn NAC Runner of the Week honors three times during the season.

New England College first-year runner Rachel Orlando finished second with a time of 19:45 to earn Rookie of the Year honors as the top finishing rookie. Orlando enjoyed a stellar freshman season in which she was twice named NAC Rookie of the Week.

In a vote of the conference coaches, Husson first-year head coach Chris Wood was honored as conference Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to the conference crown.

Husson was also awarded the Team Sportsmanship Award in a vote of the conference coaches for a second-straight season.

The top seven finishers, plus the medalist at the NAC Championship are honored as All-Conference First Team runners, while the next seven runners are honored as All-Conference Second Team runners.
