NORTON, Mass. - Wheaton College women's lacrosse senior student-athlete Hailey Colburn (Concord, N.H./Concord) has been named to the 2011-12 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Women's At-Large Division III First Team.
Named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference Team earlier this month, Colburn is a psychology major with a 3.53 grade point average (GPA). She finished her distinguished career at Wheaton No. 1 in assists (85) and No. 3 in both goals (199) and points (284) in program history. As of May 13, Colburn was No. 3 in the NCAA in points (127), No. 5 in goals (86), No. 17 in assists (41), and No. 23 in goals per game (4.3).
Colburn was one of six NEWMAC student-athletes named to the team; WPI and MIT each placed two on the squad while Clark had one.
The Lyons finished the 2012 campaign with their highest win total in eight years (14-6) and captured the program's first-ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship.
