NASHUA, N.H. – A .457 team attack percentage, fueled by 20 kills from Kenna Finlayson, sent Rivier College past Norwich University's volleyball team 25-20, 25-14, 25-15 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play Oct. 18.
The Cadets, dropping to 11-9 overall and 5-5 in the league, were topped by senior middle hitter Ivana Batur (Zagreb, Croatia). Batur had seven kills and a .538 attack percentage to go with a solo block, a service ace and seven digs. Other top numbers for the Maroon and Gold belonged to senior middle hitter April Byllaardt (Stormville, N.Y.) with four kills, senior outside hitter Brittany Palmer (York, Pa.) with eight digs and junior right side hitter Gabrielle Miller (Grove City, Ohio) with 11 assists, a .286 attack percentage and four digs.
Norwich resumes GNAC play by facing St. Joseph's College of Maine and St. Joseph's College of Connecticut at 4 and 6 p.m. inside the Harold Alfond Center on the campus of St. Joseph's College of Maine Saturday, Oct. 22.
