Allegheny Falls to Denison in Straight Sets

GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Gators traveled to the campus of Denison University on Saturday afternoon, just 15 hours after their five set thriller against Ohio Wesleyan. The Big Red would take advantage of Allegheny's quick turn around and defeat the Gators 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-19).

The Gators would hang around with Denison throughout the day, mounting two impressive rallies in the second set to come back from a 20-9 deficit, only to fall just short. Allegheny would take that energy into the start of the third set; however, Denison proved to be too much and the Gators would fall in straight sets.

Freshman Brynne Hazzard would pace Allegheny with 11 kills, while senior Audra Batdorff would contribute with seven of her own. Sophomore Madie Hudac would dish out 25 assists, and senior Winnie Wong would compile 18 digs as the Gators dropped to 6-12 overall, and 1-5 in NCAC play.

The Gators will take to the court next on Tuesday, as the will host Hiram College in an NCAC match-up.
