GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Senior attacker Katie Landry (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) was named a third-team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for the second time in her career it was announced on Wednesday, June 13.
Landry, who was a third-team All-American in 2016, returned to the national squad after completing an outstanding career at Gettysburg College. The senior tied for the team lead with 76 points and dished out a career-high and Centennial Conference-leading 54 assists this spring. Landry also turned in 22 goals and 17 ground balls.
A three-time All-CC First Team and All-Metro Region First Team selection, Landry was Gettysburg's quarterback on offense, ensuring the team ran its routes and finding the open cutter to the cage. She dished out multiple assists in 15 games, including six each in wins over No. 25 Denison University and Ursinus College.
Landry scored a season high three goals against No. 25 Washington College in the CC Championship semifinals and she handed out three assists and scored a goal against seventh-ranked Franklin & Marshall College in the conference title game. She also totaled a season-high seven points in wins over Stevenson University, Ursinus, and Bryn Mawr College.
One of the top point producers in program history, Landry finished tied for sixth with 266 points. Her 138 assists are third all-time, while she finished 18th with 128 goals. She also finished as the program leader in games played (87) and started (87).
Landry led a senior class that won more games than any class in program history. Gettysburg went 76-12 overall, including 32-4 in conference competition over the last four campaigns. Landry led the team to Centennial Conference titles in 2016 and 2018 and back-to-back national championships in 2017-18.
