Lynchburg men's lacrosse has 10-6 win over Nazareth

Owings Mill, Md.-- On day two of the Mustang Classic the Lynchburg men's lacrosse team came out victorious with a 10-6 defeat over the Golden Flyers of Nazareth College. Hornet attack team Trammel Robinson (Memphis, Tenn.) and Logan Adams (Roswell, Ga.) each scored three goals for Lynchburg. Adams also collected two assists and two ground balls. Goalie CJ Santora (Tewksbury, Mass.) made 10 saves in the net.

How It Happened

  • Lynchburg dominated over the Golden Flyers early in the first quarter scoring four consecutive goals. Two of those goals came from Adams assisted by Evan Lombardo (Franklin Park, N.J.) and Colin McGuire (Odenton). Nazareth managed to get on the board with 12 seconds left in the quarter.

  • The Hornets showed no signs of stopping after scoring another three goals in the second quarter. Junior midfielder Rivington Lambert (Lake Wylie, S.C.) ended the first half on a high note scoring a goal in the last second, going into halftime with the Hornets up 7-4.

  • McGuire collected two unassisted goals of his own in the third quarter helping creating a 10-5 lead over Nazareth.

  • The fourth quarter was uneventful for both teams giving Lynchburg the win.

The Hornets will be back in Lynchburg facing Randolph-Macon on Shellenberger Field Saturday March 24 at 7 p.m.
