Kelly Foley had nine kills and hit .286 to lead No. 13-ranked St. Thomas to a 3-0 volleyball win over St. Catherine in Wednesday night's MIAC match at Schoenecker Arena. The Tommies prevailed 25-9, 25-19, 25-23.
St. Thomas (14-4 overall, 4-0 MIAC) has won 10 consecutive matches since a Sept.12 road loss to Cornell (Iowa). The Tommies have won 31 of their last 32 matches against conference opponents includign 12 in row since October 2013.
Jill Greenfield added eight kills and 19 digs; Whitney Abrahamson had 17 digs; Whitney Lloyd had four kills, hit .364 and added three block assists; Maddie Reese had 18 assists; Kayla Walton had 16 assists; and Taylor Lewis added seven kills.
St. Thomas is off competition this week and is home Wed. Oct. 8 to face No. 17-ranked St. Ben's.
