Providence, R.I.-The Murray Center magic continued for the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team on Thursday evening, as the Anchorwomen cruised to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-11, 25-18) victory over the Western New England Golden Bears. |

With the win, RIC (4-6) earns its first back-to-back victories of the season, improves its home record to 3-0 and records its first shutout win of the year. |

Junior outside hitter Breanna Boyer (West Greenwich, RI) led the Anchorwomen with 11 kills, while freshman middle hitter Marina Stoermer (Seattle, WA) totaled a game-high seven blocks in the win. In total, RIC finished with 20 blocks compared to just six for Western New England (5-6). |

Sophomore middle hitter Amanda Cabral (Riverside, RI) stood out for the Anchorwomen in all areas as she tallied nine kills, four blocks and a team-high eight digs. Stoermer chipped in with seven kills and seven digs, while Boyer added four blocks and seven digs of her own. |

Junior setter Jessica Ho (Providence, RI) finished with a game-high 24 assists for RIC to go along with four blocks, while Golden Bears' junior setter Heather Mears (Amherst, MA) led her squad with 18 helpers. |

For the Golden Bears, sophomore outside hitter Maureen Pollet (Dix Hills, NY) finished with a team-leading eight kills. Freshman libero Grace Kucharski (Avon, CT) notched a game-high nine digs, while freshman libero Kendra Ouimette (Conway, MA) added eight more. |

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will host a tri-match on Saturday at The Murray Center. RIC battles Little East Conference foe UMass Boston at 10 a.m. and will then take on Salve Regina at noon. |
