GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team will continue its postseason run at home as the next two rounds of the NCAA Division III Championship will take place at Clark Field this weekend (May 20-21).
Gettysburg (17-3) will host the regional round for the ninth time in the last 18 seasons. Joining the Bullets will be Ithaca College (14-4), Rhodes College (19-0), and Salisbury University (15-5).
Gettysburg will play Rhodes on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Ithaca and Salisbury will play the same day at 2:30 p.m., and the winners will square off in Sunday's regional championship in the national semifinals at 2:30 p.m. Sunday's winner will advance to the national semifinals.
Ticket prices for the event are as follows: $6 for adults; $3 for seniors/students (13-18, college students from participating institutions must present ID); and $2 for children (3-12). Children under the age of two are admitted free.
Smoking products, alcoholic beverages, artificial noisemakers, and animals not assisting the disabled are not permitted at the site of competition.
Rhodes is one of only two unbeaten teams across all divisions of the NCAA. The Lynx won the Southern Athletic Association and beat Illinois Wesleyan 16-10 in the second round of this year's national championship. Ithaca was upset in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Championship, but rebounded for an 11-10 overtime win against Wesleyan College in its NCAA opener. Salisbury captured the Capital Athletic Conference crown and has posted wins over Regis College (19-2) and Hamilton College (7-5) during its NCAA run.
