SAA Tournament: Panthers Advance to Semis with 10-3 Win

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team will play in its fifth straight Southern Athletic Association tournament semifinal after downing Hendrix College 10-3 in the quarterfinals Saturday in Krulak Stadium. 

 

Thomas Grove (Charlotte, N.C./Ardrey Kell HS) and David Arnold (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Northridge HS) led the Panthers with a game-high two goals each. Matt Quill (Fort Mill, S.C./Coker College) earned the win after making a game-high 16 saves.

 

BSC scored four goals in the first quarter and never looked back.  The Panthers (8-8) will face regular season champion Rhodes College on Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m.
