Panthers Dominate Millsaps in 23-5 Win

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team outscored Millsaps College 18-3 in the first half of its home Southern Athletic Association matchup to pace its way a 23-5 victory.  The Panthers (4-5, 1-0 SAA) outshot Millsaps 51-16 in the win.

 

McHale Schneider (Roswell, Ga./Roswell HS) scored a game-high seven goals on 10 shots with three assists to lead the team offensively. David Arnold (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Northridge HS) finished with five goals of his own, and Carson Buckner (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) had a hat trick with two assists.

 

Hank Harris (Marietta, Ga./Sprayberry HS) earned the win. Alex Bates (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) and Zachary Matthews (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze HS) also spent time in goal.  Bates grabbed a team-high four saves.

 

The Panthers hit the road next to take on SAA rival Rhodes College.  Game time is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 25.
