Framingham State pushes past Bison, 8-2

DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's lacrosse team fell 8-2 to Framingham State in non-conference action Thursday evening at Vendetti Field.
 
Junior Allison Bench (Windham, N.H.) and sophomore Kirsten Sullivan (Arlington, Mass.) scored the only two goals for the Bison which led in the game after the first 19 minutes. The Rams scored the final seven goals of the game to claim the victory.
 
Framingham State had three girls with two goals apiece – including junior Kimmy Foley (Mansfield, Mass.), freshman Nicole Pacheco (Woburn, Mass.) and sophomore Shae Riley (Fairhaven, Mass.) – who also notched an assist.
 
The Bison were outshot in the game 31-11 – including 20-6 in shots on goal. Bench provided a team-high four goals for the Bison while Foley and sophomore Bailey Donelly (Framingham, Mass.) paced the Rams with six shots each.
 
Freshman Emily Eagan (Hingham, Mass.) made 12 saves in the loss and sophomore Indigo Fox Tree-McGrath (Bedford, Mass.) stopped four shots in the win.
 
All-Time Series
This marked the first time in the history of the match up that the Rams defeated the Bison. Nichols leads the all-time series at 3-1.
