NAC Field Hockey Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kealy Chipman, Castleton
(Jr, F - Bellows Falls, Vt.)

Chipman scored eight times and dished out one assist in three games as the Spartans ran the table in the NAC for the first time in program history. Facing Simmons on the road, Chipman set the offensive tempo by recording her third hat trick of the season and adding an assist. On Saturday the Spartans battled with two-time reigning NAC champion St. Joseph's. The junior once again came out firing, scoring just 1:28 into the contest and adding two more goals as Castleton notched the 4-3 victory. Chipman concluded her weekend with two goals in a 4-2 win over Husson. Her scoring barrage gave the Spartans their first 20-goal scorer since 2008 and also put her in a tie for first in the NAC with 20 goals. Here 44 points are also tied with teammate Rachel Preusser for first in the conference.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Alei Collier, Thomas
(Fr, F - Sidney, Maine)

Collier had a three goal performance this week for the Terriers. Collier notched her first career goal in the Terriers 2-1 loss to UMF on Wednesday and finished the week with a two goal performance at Rivier on Saturday, including the game-winner.
