		<description>They need to change the rules. We had a freshman with little lifting experience crack his skull open three weeks ago because he was trying too much weight on squats and wasn&#039;t properly spotted. This would never have happened with someone in the weight room.

The rule change has got to happen.</description>

		<description>I would favor a NCAA proposal that opens strength and conditioning to the entire student body, not just athletes.  The athletes would not be excluded from quality strength and conditioning that may arise out of the Kinesiology and Human Performance Department at a school, especially if that teacher happens to the athlete&#039;s coach.

This is D3.  Our schools don&#039;t have the D-1 mega-budgets that we see at a UT(exas) or a Michigan or Ohio State.  However, it is easier to justify the expenditure of capital and human resources, if the university is committed to physical education and wellness for all students.</description>
